New regulations on safety standards for road vehicles have been adopted and will come into effect on November 20, 2016. One effect of the new regulations is to replace the pre-trip inspection by the circle check. While pre-trip inspections had to take place before the vehicle’s departure, circle checks must be performed on a daily basis, with a few exceptions.
The Canadian schedule 1 will no longer be valid for all heavy vehicles registered in Quebec, starting November 20, 2016. For more details, see the guide on the circle check.
