United States Associations
The Alabama Trucking Association represents state trucking operations since 1938 for the promotion of fair and reasonable regulation of the industry.

ATA is the voice of the industry America depends on most to move our nation’s freight. They are an 86-year old federation with state trucking association affiliates in all 50 states and represent every sector of the industry—from LTL to truckload, agriculture and livestock to auto haulers, and from large motor carriers to small mom-and-pop operations.

Florida Trucking Association is one of the oldest and most respected associations in the state—promoting and protecting the trucking industry for almost 90 years. FTA is the sole state liaison between the trucking industry and the legislative, regulatory and judicial branches of state and federal government.

The Georgia Motor Trucking Association is the only organization in the state that provides full-time service and representation for the trucking industry. The Association serves as the “voice” of the trucking industry in Georgia, representing for-hire carriers, private carriers, and affiliate members.

Iowa Motor Trucking Association is a non-profit trade association founded in 1942 by Mr. John Ruan. Over 700 member companies belong to the association representing companies of all sizes and employing thousands of people.

North Carolina Trucking Association (NCTA) was founded in 1929 with an interest in providing educational and safety materials to the ever growing truck industry. As a non-profit trade association, the SCTA serves as the voice of the trucking industry in South Carolina since 1933. Membership has grown from 17 dues paying members in 1936, to a high point of almost 900 companies by the mid-nineties, to about 600 members today.

For 70 years, the Quebec Trucking Association has been serving the road transportation industry in Quebec. Our association has more than 500 members composed of public and private carriers and suppliers of products and services related to the trucking industry.

The Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association (APTA) is the trusted and effective voice of the road transport industry that supports its members.
Founded in 1956, the APTA is an Atlantic-wide non-profit industry association formed to advocate on advancing and improving the commercial trucking industry in Atlantic Canada.

BCTA is a member-based, province-wide, non-partisan, non-profit motor carrier association formed solely to advance the interests of British Columbia motor carriers. Founded in 1913, BCTA includes among its members for-hire and private carriers hauling every conceivable type of freight including manufactured goods, heavy specialised commodities, bulk products, household goods and general freight.

The CTA is a federation of provincial trucking associations. They represent a broad cross-section of the trucking industry—some 4,500 carriers, owner-operators and industry suppliers.

The Club was founded in 1926 through the leadership and vision of Mr. J.K. Smith. The first meeting was held at the Edinburgh Café on St. Catherine Street in Montreal, with an enrollment of 27 members. The successful outcome of the inaugural meeting, resulted in the Traffic Club holding regular meetings at the Queen’s Hotel until 1944.

The Manitoba Trucking Association exists to develop and maintain a safe and healthy business environment for its industry members and has been doing so since 1932. We are, first and foremost, an advocacy group working on behalf of the trucking industry. The Manitoba Trucking Association is the voice of the trucking industry in Manitoba.

The Ontario Trucking Association (OTA) was founded in 1926, and provides services and public policy advocacy for trucking companies hauling freight into, out of and within the Province of Ontario. OTA is the only trucking association in Ontario that represents all segments of the industry—for-hire carriers, private carriers, intermodal, suppliers, etc.

Established in 1977, the Private Motor Truck Council of Canada (PMTC) is the only Canadian association dedicated to the interests of private fleet operators. The PMTC provides forums for fleet operators and industry stakeholders to exchange views and resolve issues together, and is at the forefront in representing your views to government, protecting your rights, and promoting your interests.
