Vehicle Data and Power (VDP) connection MODULE
to OBD-II

The VDPMOD-OBD connects to the
J1962 diagnostic connector of the vehicle. It
translates OBD II signals to HS-CAN data. An
onboard microprocessor handles all buffering and
timing functions. The VDPMOD-OBD automatically
detects the vehicle bus.
It supports the following vehicle data bus:
|
|
| |
- SAE J1850 PWM (41.6 Kbaud)
- SAE J1850 VPW (10.4 Kbaud)
- ISO 9141-2 (5 baud init)
- ISO 14230-4 KWP (5 baud init)
- ISO 14230-4 KWP (fast init)
- ISO 15765-4 CAN (11 bit ID, 500 Kbaud)
- ISO 15765-4 CAN (29 bit ID, 500 Kbaud)
- ISO 15765-4 CAN (11 bit ID, 250 Kbaud)
- ISO 15765-4 CAN (29 bit ID, 250 Kbaud)

Vehicle Data and Power (VDP) connection to
OBD-II
(VDPOBD)

The VDPOBD connects the
recorder to the
J1962 diagnostic connector of the vehicle. It
uses the power from the vehicle bus to
supply the Recorder.
It supports the following vehicle data bus:
- ISO 15765-4 CAN (11 bit ID, 500 Kbaud)
- ISO 15765-4 CAN (29 bit ID, 500 Kbaud)
- ISO 15765-4 CAN (11 bit ID, 250 Kbaud)
- ISO 15765-4 CAN (29 bit ID, 250 Kbaud)

Vehicle Data and Power (VDP) connection to HD6
Heavy vehicle (J1708) cable (1x PWR, 1x
J1708) (VDPHD6)
The VDPHD6 is designed
for Heavy Vehicles which has the 6 contacts
diagnostic connector. The cable connects the
Recorder to the J1708 data bus of the vehicle.
It uses the power from the vehicle bus to supply
the Recorder.

|
Vehicle Data and Power (VDP) connection to HD9
Heavy vehicle (1x PWR, 1x CAN, 1x J1708)
(VDPHD9)

The VDPHD9 is a Heavy Vehicle
9 contacts diagnostic cable that connects the
recorder to the J1708 or J1939 data bus of the
vehicle. It also uses the
power from the vehicle bus to supply the
Recorder.

GPS receiver and
integrated antenna
(COMGPS-G18)

The
GPS receiver obtains the actual vehicle position
and velocity from up to 12 different satellites.
It sends information to the Recorder serial
(COM) port, up to 5 times every second.
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
GPS receiver and
antenna
(IDNGPS-200)

The
GPS receiver obtains the actual vehicle position
and velocity from up to 14 different satellites.
It sends information to the Recorder high speed
CAN port, up to 20 times every second.

Fluid
Temperature Sensor (SENFT1)

Le
capteur de température d'eau ou d'huile est
petit et résistant et est utilisé pour mesurer
des températures de fluides entre -40°C et
150°C. Le filet offert est de standard 1/8” NPT.
|
 |
|
|
Thermocouple
Module (MODTMx)
The MODTMx provides cold junction compensation, amplify and linearize
electrical signals from type J or type K thermocouples.
It can be used
for various temperature measurement, e.g. exhaust gas, cylinder head, rolling
tire surface, brake rotors. It is available in three ranges : -100° to 300°C,
0° to 500°C, and 0 to 1000°C. Refer to thermocouple datasheets
(TCKEGT, TCKSTK and TCKCHT).
|
 |
|
|
Exhaust Gas Thermocouple
(TCKEGT)

The TCKEGT is specifically designed
for installation over the gas exhaust pipe drilled hole. It features high temperature stainless steel construction and
a clamp to keep the sensor in place
|
 |
|
|
Self-Adhesive Thermocouple
(TCKSTK)

The TCKSTK is practical because of its adhesiveness and
small size. It is typically used in areas where more cumbersome thermocouples
can not be installed.

Gyroscope
(SENGYR)

The SENGYR sensor uses the gyroscopic effect to measure rotationnal velocity
around it's sensing axis.

 |
|
|
Acceleration
Sensor (SENAC1, SENAC2, SENVI1,
SENVI2)

The SENAC1, SENAC2, SENVI1 and
SENVI2 measure the low-frequency
accelerations up to 400Hz. The SENVI1 and SENVI2 are AC-Coupled
with a single pole high-pass filter
when a DC response is not required. The analog AC
coupling eliminates 0 offset drift to the sensor. The SENAC1 and SENAC2 are used
when the DC response is required (in tilt measurement applications
for example).
All models have a single-ended
output which is filtered by a 4th order Bessel
low-pass filter.

Humidity
Sensor (SENHUM)

The SENHUM measures relative humidity,
from 0% to 100%.

Wheatstone
Bridge Conditioner (MODWBx)

Strain gauge or load cell conditioner module, in full-bridge configuration.
|
 |
|
|
|
Fuel Flow Detector (DTCFFW)

The fuel flow transducer
measures the flow of hydrocarbon fuels such as
gasoline, kerosene, #2 diesel and other light
transmitting, but non-corrosive liquids of
similar viscosities. It has an internal
diaphragm that absorbs any pulsations nearby
fuel pumps and a flow chamber design that makes
fuel blockage impossible. The transducer gives
repeatable signal for gasoline down to 1.15
Litres/hour (L/h). The higher viscosity of
diesel fuel reduces signal repeatability at flow
rates below 7.5L/h.
